Summary

This virtual solution session, held as part of the UN Second World Summit for Social Development in Qatar, explores how connectivity and AI, working hand in hand, can unlock new forms of social impact.

Hosted by Giga (International Telecommunication Union), the session brings together experts from UNESCO, ITU’s Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB), and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Bahrain to examine how reliable, meaningful connectivity can empower communities and enable the full potential of emerging technologies.

Connectivity is what turns technology into opportunity, it’s the bridge that allows AI and innovation to deliver real impact. 

Expected Outcomes

  • A set of collaborative recommendations for scaling AI and meaningful connectivity solutions. 
  • Guidance on integrating these solutions into digital hub initiatives across education, health, and community development sectors worldwide.
