Through its Accelerate programme, Giga explores diverse technologies, business models and regulatory arrangements to provide broadband connectivity to schools and communities. The insights from these procurements help guide governments’ connectivity programs.
As part of this process, UNICEF Country Offices frequently contract Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to connect schools in various countries around the world. Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for these procurements are posted on this page.

Zardaly, an isolated village up in the mountains in Southern Kyrgyzstan, is home to about 150 people who live without electricity and communication. A mountain trail is the only direct route to Zardaly and donkeys are the most reliable form of transport.
